This milestone was not found on the date of visit. It is depicted standing on the NE verge of what is now the A836 public road immediately W of Loch Staing on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherlandshire 1878, sheet XLIII). It indicated the distance in miles to ‘TONGUE 14½’ and ‘ALTNAHARROW 3½’.
