Blair's Cottage, or a building in the same location, is depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map c.1873. <1>
The millpond to the mill at The Square is within the grounds of Blair's Cottage. The house was home to the local midwife, then a Youth Hostel for a year, and is now a private house. <2>
