Full Description
The remains of a rectangular enclosure at Allt Lon an Daim, near Ladycairn, Dochfour, were noted during a walkover survey by Wordsworth Archaeology Services in 1999 in advance of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme. It measured 20m x 16m and had substantial drystone walls surviving up to 0.5m in height by 1m wide. The north wall was incorporated into a natural rock outcrop. It was unclear whether it had been constructed to to retain or exclude stock. The entrance was in the south. The whole area was obscured by tall heather. <1>
