Full Description
The remains of a possible cottar's house at Evanscairn, near Ladycairn, Dochfour, were noted during a walkover survey by Wordsworth Archaeology Services in 1999 in advance of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme. The remains measured 8m x 4m although it may once have extended a further 4m to the north and 3m to the south. The stone footings were extensively covered with grass and a 0.15m deposit of soil and grass on the north wall suggested that it may have been turf walled. <1>
