Full Description
A guard house was noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. A guard house for the WRNS’s area was demolished not too long before this project, and the new Novar Estate office was built on its site. It was originally U-shaped in plan. Edith (Herd) McHardy lived here between 1973 and 1977, and her parents lived in the house after her until 1980. It was known as Mo dhachaidh, and pictures show it with a later porch added between the two wings. Contributors: Alan Kinghorn; Edith McHardy. <1>
