Full Description
The site of some engine testing sheds was noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. The engine testing sheds were almost at Beechwood on the south side of the railway. These sheds were depicted and labelled on a plan of a military-issue Underground Cable Scheme for the Beechwood area, now in private collection. It was dangerous to be on the railway when testing was happening, according to Hamish Mackay, whose father worked on the railway.<1>
