Full Description
The site of a Mainhill hangar was noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. A Mainhill hangar was situated to the south of Wester Teaninich farm. It does not appear on the 1943-1944 plans for the area, but is on later military plans. It appeared on the 1946 aerial photo, but has gone by the time of the 1965 aerial photo. <1>
Note: According to AP's, a modern hangar was built on this site at some point between 1999 and 2009. This should not be confused with the wartime hangar. S Salem 05/12/2013
