Full Description

NG77NE 36 7963 7859
Oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2009) has recorded a causeway or mill dam at the outflow of Linne a’Mhuillin (the ‘mill pool’). The feature is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map and it is likely that it supplied a head for the corn and barley mill at NG 7962 7730 (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, Sheet XLIV). It is shown on current OS raster mapping as a ‘causeway’. <1>
