Full Description
An archaeological walkover survey of the proposed site for a new wind farm at Navidale was carried out by AOC in 2016.
A possible structure on the east bank of the Ord Burn. Aligned NW‐SE and overall spread c. 5m long and 3m wide. It survives up to 0.5m high. The structure is revetted into the hillside on the northeast side with some built up stone visible under the heather. The southwest side by the river has been built up with some large slab‐like boulders visible. The whole structure is covered by thick moss and heather. There may have been two compartments, the northern one 2m long and the southern 1.5m long. A tentative interpretation could be a still. <1>
