Full Description
An archaeological walkover survey of the proposed site for a hydro scheme at Allt Dearg, near Achterneed, Strathpeffer, was carried out by AOC in 2017.
Site 3: Densely bracken and grass covered remnants of a rubble stone enclosure. Survives up to 0.5m high with a spread up to 1.2m wide and possibly associated with the sheep fank (see MHG55850). Difficult to define the extent due to vegetation cover. <1>
