Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
Located on the west side of the Kyle , between the 50 m and 60 m contours is a linear turf-and-stone boundary. This feature runs for 50 m down the slope from a large rock outcrop to a modern fence line and stands to height of 0.4-0.5 m. This dyke may relate to either No 8 to the N or No 11 to the south. <1>
