This a currently used MOD installation. It had been a radar station but is now used for directing lasers to targets off Cape Wrath (eg An Garbh-eilean) for bombing practice. This complex consists of a 20 m by 8 m concrete building with a glass watch tower, a 9 m by 9 m tarmac helipad, a 7 m by 8 m concrete hut and a 4 m by 4 m concrete hut used to house the generators which power the site, two subterranean observation bunkers measuring 5 m by 3 m and 1 m high as visible above ground level. There is a track which leads to this site from the S end of Balnakeil Bay.<1>
