Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
On a grassed slope between the modern road and the cliff-edge are a line of stones showing in a section through the peat for c 30 m. This may represent a feature, like a stone dyke, which is below the turf or may just be natural outcropping showing through. <1>
