Full Description

A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.

A small, horseshoe-shaped setting of stones situated on the flat, grassy area at the edge of the stony beach. The setting measures c 2 m by 1 m internally, and at the most stands two courses high. The "walls" are c 0.5 m thick. It is in danger of complete erosion by the sea. <1>
