Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
Cut into the turf at the coast-edge are the remnants of a boat-noust measuring 4 m E-W by 3 m. The edges of this noust have been dry-stone revetted. This revetment is most visible at the south where 4 courses (0.5 m high) can been seen. This site is suffering erosion from the Loch. <1>
