A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.

On low-lying ground at the head of the loch are the ruins of a possible hut-circle. This is under heavy bracken cover and as such is very difficult to discern fully, but has been identified as such by A Morrison (pers comm). <1>

NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <2>

Note: This hut circle may be part of the group mentioned in MHG66036. (TB 29/7/26)
