Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
Along the low-tide bank of the river is a N-S alignment of 4 pilings at 50 m intervals which are 0.6 m high. These may be the remnants of a largely degraded fish-trap. The wood of these pilings is rotting and the features are covered with seaweed. <1>
