Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
On the east bank of the river, straddling two tidal arms, is a 12 m long line of stones (on average 0.5 m by 0.4 m by 0.25 m) running E-W and blocking off a small bay at low tide. This may have been a low tide fish-trap which has been partially washed away by the tide and the river. <1>
