Full Description

A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.

Situated on rock outcrops to the N side of the headland, is a small length of wall, c 2 m long and extending a natural outcrop. This wall is constructed of 5-6 courses of slabs and boulders and reaches a height of c 0.7 m high. It is also crossed by a modern wire fence.<1>
