Full Description

A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.

Along the west side of the burn, flowing down the sloping, grassy field above the shingle-beach, on the west side of the Kyle of Tongue, lies a dry-stone field-wall. This wall extends NW from above the shore for c 25 m, and ends abruptly at the NW end possibly having been demolished. <1>
