NH95NW 25 915 552.
NH 915552. Human Bones found here. When reclaiming the greater part of Garlic Hill a great quantity of human bones were found and buried in the Dead Wood. No date of the discovery could be ascertained. (But see NH95NW 12 - Site of Battle).
Name Book 1869
Thompson diary (appendix 1883) states that following the battle of Auldearn the bodies were buried in the graveyard and in Dead Wood - HAW 2/2003
