Full Description

NH87SW 16 837 711.

NH 835 711. This cluster of small cairns on the SE slopes of the Hill of Nigg may be associated with a cottage of recent date, which stands 200m to the SE.
RCAHMS 1979

NH 836 711. An area of about two hectares of heather-covered stone-free ground. Three clearance heaps, about 4m across, occur together with smaller examples. A distinct lynchet runs along NE side of area. These cultivation remains are more indicative of a prehistoric rather than a medieval or post-medieval date.
Visited by OS 24 April 1981.
