Full Description

A hut circle in Gleann Udalain (Auchtertyre).

NG 8507 2910: On the east facing slope, close to a small burn and overlooking the reservoir, at a height of 175m OD are the very badly degraded remains of a circular structure built of single large boulders. The walls, for the most part one boulder thick, enclose an area 7m in diameter. <1>

285063 929083 Auchtertyre 019 MW2019: The hut circle was visited by M Wildgoose in 2018 as part of research on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. No additional detail was recorded. <2>
