EHG6078 - Photographic survey - Killilan Lodge

A survey of Killilan Lodge was undertaken by Archaeological Consultant Services in 1997 prior to the demolition of the building. Although the lodge consisted of several building phases, the time available allowed only a rapid assessment to be made. A photographic record was of primary importance so it was decided only sketch-plans could be made of the interior. Many of the interior fittings had been removed prior to the survey. The photographic survey concentrated on those rooms still containing original fixtures and fittings. The survey was undertaken without the help of supporting documentation. Dating evidence was therefore based on stylistic and typographic criteria. <1>
