Full Description
Railway platform fronting the ticket office/waiting room at Dornoch Station. The original platform was over 100 metres long and it still survives to most of its original length (although the north-eastern extremity has been removed) as a grassed over landscaped feature today. In the 1970's a temporary building occupied the site to the north of the ticket office/waiting room but this has since been removed <1>. The paltform is depicted on the 2nd edition 25" OS map c.1905 <2>.
