Full Description

An unroofed rectangular building depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map c.1881 and later maps. The latest Ordnance Survey map depicts two compartments. The building is not visible on aerial photographs from 1964. A walkover survey in August 2009 revealed a rectangular building aligned NE-SW with squared corners, but sitting on an earlier foundation of rounded corners. The building measures 13.2m by 4.2m with walls 0.7m wide and up to 0.7m high. The doorway is on the NE side. The building is situated on a terrace. <1>
