Description

An archaeological desktop and walkover survey was conducted for an area of proposed woodland on the island of Scalpay. Part of the area had previously been surveyed in 2001 and work was undertaken to confirm the results. The work revealed a number of previously unrecorded archaeological sites including buildings, a farmstead, clearance cairns and remnants of field boundaries. <1>
