Full Description

Ruin of a stone-built long house at Glen Ose, Skye. It was partly recorded under Site D (it lay outside the survey area) during a walkover survey by Archaeological and Ancient Landscape Survey in 2001 in advance of the proposed Edinbane Wind Farm development. It may be part of the Glen Ose township (see MHG5070), though for the purposes of recording it has been assigned to the farmstead/township record of MHG63392.

Immediately across the road (from Site D - see MHG63397) is a second stone built house which is aligned northwest to southeast. This second structure measures 19m long by 6m wide over walls 1m thick. A door opening in the centre of the southeast end opens into a small yard within a turf dyke. <1>
