Full Description

Ruin of a stone-built byre at Glen Ose, Skye. It was recorded during a walkover survey by Archaeological and Ancient Landscape Survey in 2001 in advance of the proposed Edinbane Wind Farm development. It may be part of the Glen Ose township (see MHG5070), though for the purposes of recording it has been assigned to the farmstead/township record of MHG63392.

Site E: A stone built rectangular structure with rounded outside corners lying on an east - west alignment. The remains measure 9m long by 5m wide over walls 1m thick. A door opening 0.8m wide lies at the east end of the south wall. There are no visible partitions. <1> <2>
