EHG5 - Rapid archaeological survey - Torr a' Choit, Glenfinnan

A rapid archaeological survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme planting area at Torr a' Choit, Glenfinnan, was conducted in March 2000 by Wordsworth Archaeological Services. The survey comprised a desk-based assessment and rapid walkover. It was noted that on topographic grounds the majority of the survey area lay in terrain unsuitable for human settlement, being either too steeply sloping or too shaded an aspect to suit agriculture. A small number of sites were identified and marked out and recommendations made. <1>
