Auldearn Community Timeline
ARCH Community Timeline courses provide an overview of local heritage, and then allow participants to research a site, building, feature, find, placename traditions or any other aspect of their local heritage which is of interest. In many cases, this results in new information, photographs or updated references for the HER. In addition, each course produces a local display and a binder with extra information.
Further information about the Community Timeline courses can be found on the ARCH website at www.archhighland.org.uk/community-timelines.asp.
The Auldearn project has provided some terrific new information for the HER. New records include:
Site of Curling Pond, Boghead Farm near Auldearn
Findspot of axehead at Washingwells Farm near Auldearn
Twenty seven further records have been updated with new information. This included some great work to gather together photos and information about various artefacts recorded in the HER, for example:
Findspot of Bronze Age dirk, Kinnudie
Findspot of Roman dipper and possible associated features, Auldearn
