Description
The survey area covers an area of 118 ha to the south-east of Scourie, Sutherland. The area consists of rocky heather moorland used as rough grazing. The area is dominated by three rocky knolls from 117 to 139 Mod; Cnoc a' Bhutain to the west, Cnoc an Daimh to the south, and Creag Gharbn to the east. Two lochs lie within the area; Loch Leathad nan Cruineachd and Lochan Sgeireach. The survey area was systematically walked by a team of two archaeologists and all features of archaeological interest were described and located using a Total Station. <1>
