Strathdearn Community Timeline
ARCH Community Timeline courses provide an overview of local heritage, and then allow participants to research a site, building, feature, find, placename traditions or any other aspect of their local heritage which is of interest. In many cases, this results in new information, photographs or updated references for the HER. In addition, each course produces a local display and a binder with extra information.

The Strathdearn Community Timeline course delivered a wealth of valuable new information for the HER. Totally new records included:
Site of bridge, near Clune Farm
Site of rope bridge, below Lower Inverbrough
1950s housing, Old Mill Road, Tomatin
Possible sheep stell, Knockandhu
Buildings and shielings near Clune
Remains of mill, Coignamhuillin
In addition a great deal of new information was added to existing records. This included some most interesting information about Moy and Dalarossie churches, a laird's house lying empty and unaltered since the 1700s, information about settlements known as the "5 Coigs" eg Coignafeuinternich as well as local memories of sites such as the Tomatin Curling Pond, shinty field and railway station.
