Description

In 2014 a community project led by ARCH explored the heritage of Knockbain Parish on the Black Isle through courses, field trips and sharing memories. In a short period of time, a great deal of information was collected about places in this often overlooked area of the Black Isle, during indoor sessions drawing on old maps and photographs, during walks to Munlochy, Kilmuir, Easter Suddie and Belmaduthy, and on visits to Highland Archives and Groam House Museum. His community project was designed to produce a record of heritage remains and resources in the Knockbain area, and to make this accessible to the community. A report was produced about the project and a database was provided of all of the sites visited and recorded throughout the project. <1>
