EHG3579 - Rapid walkover survey - Shore Park, Latheronwheel

A rapid walk-over survey was carried out at Latheronwheel, Cathness, where two areas are proposed for planting of native woodlands. Within the general area large numbers of archaeological sites are recorded, but as far as can be established these do not generally extend within the proposed planting areas. Large parts of the easternmost planting area are covered with dense gorse and scrub and were therefore inaccessible; but only one site has previously been recorded here. In these areas the survey report recommends that a further check be made once the scrub has been cleared. <1>
