New Sites (8 February 2012)

Here are some of the most interesting new sites added to the HER in December and January. A huge amount of new information was gathered in the course of a new survey of Dalchork Forest near Lairg and a selection of the sites is included below. Also included are several sites that were reported to us by the Brough Harbour Community Project, Caithness and the Strathdearn Community Timeline course.

We have also recently added 22 fundamental bench marks to the HER at the request of the Ordnance Survey (for example this one at Durness). Many more sites have been added as a result of recent fieldwork, and these can be found by following the links from New Fieldwork Reports.
