Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was conducted to establish as far as possible the nature and extent of any archaeological remains likely to be affected by the construction of a new water main between Aultbea and Mellon Charles in Wester Ross. Recommendations included marking out of sites to avoid unnecessary damage and a precautionary archaeological watching brief in selected areas; and slight modification of the route in two places to avoid archaeological sensitive areas. <1>
