Technique(s)

Organisation

West Coast Archaeological Services

Date

August 2010

Description

An archaeological walkover survey was conducted in advance of the construction of a new water main route between Garve and Strathpeffer in Ross-shire. A 50m corridor was walked and twenty six sites of archaeological interest were identified and assessed. The route could not be completely assessed due to bracken and dense planting. Further mitigation measures were proposed to safeguard the known sites and potential unknown sites during the water main construction. <1>
